The owner answers the phone
Dave's cell is on every truck. After-hours calls get answered, not routed to a call center 1,500 miles away.
About Coastline HVAC
Same family. Same answer-your-own-phone policy. Same fix-it-right attitude. Just nicer trucks than Grandpa had.

Owner & Master Technician
Meet the owner
Dave grew up under his dad's service truck. By 15 he was crimping copper. By 25 he was running commercial HVAC jobs for Carrier across LA and Orange County. In 2008 he moved the family business to Newport Beach and renamed it Coastline.
He still rides on every emergency call he can fit between school drop-offs. If you call after 9pm, the guy who picks up is probably the guy you'd see on the truck the next morning.
“I don't run a sales operation. I run a fix-it operation. If you can't trust the guy who comes to your house, you've got bigger problems than a busted AC.”
Our story
Coastline HVAC isn't really 17 years old — it's three generations old. Dave's grandfather Antonio Reyes started doing AC work in Anaheim in 1971, riding out to service calls in a Ford pickup with a co-pilot dog named Diesel.
Antonio handed the wrenches to his son Carlos in 1989. Carlos ran the family shop through the late 90s and 2000s, mostly residential, mostly word-of-mouth. When Carlos retired in 2008, Dave moved the business to Newport Beach, kept the family name on the truck (Reyes, embroidered above the pocket of every uniform), and called it Coastline.
Today there are 12 of us. Same family-owned shop. Same up-front pricing. Same answer-your-own-phone policy. We just have nicer trucks and better radios now.
How we work
Dave's cell is on every truck. After-hours calls get answered, not routed to a call center 1,500 miles away.
We make less money on a $400 capacitor than a $14,000 system. We recommend the capacitor anyway — that's how families stay customers for 20 years.
You see the dollar amount before any work starts. No hourly meters running while we look at parts. No surprise add-ons on the invoice.
Every tech on our team is background-checked, drug-tested, and NATE-certified. Apprentices ride along for 6 months before they touch your system.
Our techs go to their kids' games. They take Sundays off (except emergencies). It's not the cheapest way to run an HVAC shop, but it's the right one.
We sponsor little league at Mariner's Park. Dave's kids go to NHHS. When we say 'your neighbors,' we mean it geographically.
The crew
Twelve people. Average tenure of 5+ years. NATE-certified, background-checked, and (mostly) bilingual.
